Marie Deverill, Manager, Professional Development and Support
Marie has experience as a teacher, director and manager in a range of early childhood settings in government, private and corporate sectors, both in UK and Australia. She has a particular interest in children’s literacy. Marie has a BA and Diploma of Education (Infants), a graduate certificate in Early Childhood Education and is Cert IV qualified in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Sara Andersson, Project Officer
Sara has worked in not-for-profit long day care centres for more than 15 years. She has a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) along with a Graduate Certificate in Leadership (Early Childhood) and a Certificate IV in Management (Frontline Business Management) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Sara was the Director of an inner city not-for-profit long day care centre for 10 years.

Louise Black, Project Officer
Louise holds a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood ) from Macquarie University and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. She has over 20 years experience in the Early Childhood profession, starting as a teacher and Director in Local Government Long Day Care services. Louise has worked as a Reviewer and Validator for NCAC before moving to a position with NCAC as a Validator Adviser and trainer. Louise is passionate about providing High Quality training and professional development experiences for early childhood educators.

Stefanie Overton, Project Officer
Stefanie has over 10 years experience working in community based long day care centres as an educator and director. She has a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Laura Sportelli, Project Officer
Laura has a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has worked in the early childhood sector for 15 years in just about every position imaginable, primarily managing long day care centres and managing a not-for-profit preschool. She has worked in services locally and abroad including a Centre of Early Excellence in London. In 2004, she opened up a 90-place centre from the ground up in Sydney’s Inner West. More recently, Laura has worked as a university lecturer (specialising in EC management and leadership) and has worked
extensively as Child Studies teacher for TAFE. Laura, who is the proud mother of Noah,
is very excited to be part of Professional Development and Support team and is looking
forward to supporting the professional development of children’s services staff.

Melissa Woodhouse, Project Officer
Melissa holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and a degree in Management. With over 20 years experience in Long Day Care settings working with all age groups, she has been a Centre Director for services in both private and government settings. Melissa has also coordinated a diverse Early Childhood program for a local government. She has a particular interest in change management and assisting leaders in growing and developing effective teams. Most of all, Melissa is passionate about inspiring and reminding early childhood professionals to enjoy what they do
every day.

Faye Marie Vyoral, Corporate Services Officer
Faye Marie brings a wide range of people and creativity skills to the team gained whilst working in the beauty, retail, events, conference and medical fields. Faye Marie holds a Health Science degree and has been awarded diplomas and certificates covering Event Management, Marketing, Retail Promotion and Advertising, and Beauty Therapy.
