Selection Criteria

To be appointed as the Nominated Supervisor of Wallum Community Preschool and Family Centre, a candidate must meet the following selection criteria to the satisfaction of the selection panel and the Management Committee.


  • Completion of a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
  • Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification
  • Child protection qualification
  • NSW Working with Children Check number
  • BOSTE Number

Candidates need to demonstrate:

  • High level of communication, presentation and time management skills;
  • Ability to collaborate in the development of philosophies and policies;
  • Strong, proven leadership qualities;
  • Demonstrate understanding of pedagogical practices embracing holistic approaches to children’s learning through play;
  • Proven ability to work co-operatively alongside educators and Management Committee Members;
  • Meet requirements of the National Quality Standards;
  • The implementation of Early Years Learning Framework within the curriculum.

Experience working in community based sector preferable.
