Advocacy/Peak
One of Community Child Care’s roles is advocacy. We advocate for quality, affordable, accessible children’s services. We are the peak organisation within NSW for the community not for profit children’s services sector.
We advocate on behalf of individual services as well as representing our member’s views to Government and other bodies within the sector. One of the major functions of Community Child Care has always been its political function. Our role in advocating for our members, analysing how the Government’s policy changes will affect them and representing the views of members to Government is, in many ways, our most critical function.
We also advocate for children and families. We believe that every child has a right to early education and care that is accessible, affordable and above all high quality. If we do not “get it right” for our youngest children, we cannot, as a society, achieve our aims.
